An initial post

 We've never really been good at ongoing, continuous communication.  We like the idea, and even had intentions of trying to do it back in 2012 when we first went to TZ together.  For various reasons, we never did it.  To be honest, I think it's probably best that we didn't.  Too many crazy new experiences to process at that point.  And, I felt fairly soon after moving to Tanzania that it wouldn't be appropriate to try to process all of that in a public way on the internet.

We try to write newsletters 3 or 4 times a year, and we've done that relatively well.  However, there's still so little that actually makes it into the newsletter, and each newsletter tends to take a lot of work.  We have also done more regular prayer updates to those who ask to be on that list.  They are just emails and they go out more regularly.  

At this point, I'm not quite sure if this will be a place for simply reposting our prayer updates and newsletter content, or if it will be a place for other, new content.  At the moment, I'm thinking we'll blog our way through our home assignment.  We'll give updates on where we are, what we're sharing about, and how we are doing with our fundraising.
